Dr. J. W. Barts, Charlotte, NC, who served as SSOMS President in 1989, passed away on March 9 following an extended illness.
 
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
